Tanmai Shah, MD

Dr. Tanmai Shah is a native New Yorker and board-certified pediatrician. A graduate of SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, he completed his pediatrics residency at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital and his pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital before returning to Stony Brook Children’s. Dr. Shah provides care to hospitalized children ranging from birth to adolescent as well as care to infants in the newborn nursery. His academic interests include medical education and curriculum design.
