Tanzia Chowdhury, DO

Tanzia Chowdhury, DO, is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in Greenport and the surrounding communities. She believes that healthcare is not one-size-fits-all and takes a personalized, collaborative approach to helping patients achieve their health goals.

Dr. Chowdhury is passionate about empowering patients to become the healthiest and best versions of themselves. She understands that every patient has unique needs, challenges, and priorities. Her philosophy is simple: meet patients where they are, listen to what matters most to them, and work together to create sustainable changes at a pace that feels right for them. She strives to build lasting relationships with her patients, emphasizing trust, open communication, and shared decision-making.

Dr. Chowdhury earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Family Medicine residency at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, New York. She previously served as Associate Program Director of the family medicine residency program at Peconic Bay Medical Center, where she was actively involved in physician education, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient care and outcomes.

She is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration at Hofstra University, with an expected graduation in 2027.
