Teresa Manning-Carter, NP

My journey as a nurse practitioner has been focused on advocating and serving the most vulnerable populations with state-of-the-art compassionate care. Cancer patients depict the unpredictable fragile nature of our journey. Cancer of the pancreas, liver and esophagus often come without warning shocking and change the lives of patients and their families instantaneously. I remain involved with upper GI cancer clinical trials, research and quality assurance groups. My mission is to apply my more than thirty years of clinical experience, with success in leadership education and management, to deliver superior research-driven care to our upper GI cancer patients at the Stony Brook Cancer Center.
