Tracie A Saunders, MD

My interest in women's health started when I was 11 years old and my mother gave me the book, "Our Bodies, Ourselves" and I read it cover to cover.  I have a passion for taking care of pregnant women. I specialize in Obstetric Anesthesiology. I am very interested in eliminating healthcare disparities in pregnant women of color and improving maternal/fetal outcomes for all people.  My first job besides babysitting was after high school, grades 10-12, working in the medical department at Brookhaven National Lab in the pulmonary lab. I grew up on Long Island and graduated from Longwood High School in Middle Island.
