Xin Fu Lin, DO

Xin Fu Lin, DO, is Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine of the Department of Medicine, Hospitalist Division, at Stony Brook University Hospital. Dr. Lin is a practicing clinician and educator in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Lin strives to provide best care to patients with a variety of medical ailments and takes time to listen and learn from his patients. Dr. Lin has many years of experience in medicine and is dedicated to teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.Dr. Lin majored in Biophysics and Biochemistry at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and graduated with Cum Laude. He authored many research articles as an undergraduate including one research article published in Biochemistry.  He obtained his medical degree from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Northwell Health in Peconic Bay where he was selected as chief resident during his final year. Dr. Lin worked as a hospitalist at Northwell Health and as a general practitioner in the outpatient setting and correctional facility prior to joining Stony Brook in 2018.
