About
I completed training in public health preventive medicine, or preventive medicine for short, which entails in-depth preparation for the type of work that I do in employee health and tele-preventive medicine. While I am an early career physician at this stage (I have been in independent practice for 5 years only), I bring a wealth of knowledge in other areas relevant to preventive medicine, including in particular a PhD in urban health, where I learned how to tackle social determinants of health, which is now a sought-after skillset for physicians in clinical practice. I have conducted research on various types of interventions that aim to improve patient outcomes through preventive medicine, including lifestyle medicine, cancer prevention, interprofessional care, and health behavior change. Specifically, I have conducted significant research on brief action planning and motivational interviewing, the relationship between interprofessional care and health disparities, organic food consumption and the incidence of cancer, among many other areas.
